LOVE I COULD NOT POOL

Is it hard to watch the years pass

Is it hard to watch the things you want

as they are sold to another

for what they have that you do not

Is it hard to accept that the beauty of another

has left you and will never return

As hard as watching love fade

from the eyes of someone so dear

As hard as watching love fade

to sense it as it slowly drains

From eyes that never knew beauty or fame

From eyes that had no clue of riches or age

It is so hard to watch love fade

like water draining from a bathtub

It is so hard to watch love fade

a vortex gorging our love now spent

I cannot stand to watch our love fade

left here in a cold nakedness

I cannot stand to watch our love fade

to think you cannot pool love back

into those eyes

into the tub

through the drain water only flows away

My far love it pains me to see you now

It burns to look into your eyes

and know that love is bellow reach

I can only dwell in heavy pools of you

erased in a rut of empty water
